Tim Pride (OB 1975-1982)

 

We have to sadly record the passing of Tim Pride on 6th April 2020.

He was a prominent and accomplished musician while at Bancroft’s.

He was principally a singer but also an accomplished viola player in the orchestra and chamber groups.

While still in the sixth form he sang with the London Bach Society choir under Paul Steinitz.

He proceeded to win a choral award at St John’s College, Cambridge, under George Guest.

For most of the rest of his life he was an alto lay clerk in the choir of Winchester Cathedral, with many recordings to his name.
